Aslak Nore
Aslak Nore is a Norwegian journalist, publisher, non-fiction, and crime fiction writer. He was awarded the Riverton Prize in 2017.
Aslak Nore (born 1978) grew up in Oslo. He’s educated at the University of Oslo and the New School for Social Research in New York and has served in Norway’s elite Telemark Battalion in Bosnia. A modern-day adventurer, Nore has lived in Latin America and worked as a journalist in the Middle East and Afghanistan. He has published several non-fiction books and four novels. “Ulvefellen” (2017) was a national bestseller and won the Riverton Prize for best crime novel in Norway in 2018. “The Cemetery of the Sea” (2021) is the first novel in an epic literary thriller series “Falck Saga“ and a huge international success and bestseller. The series tells the story of a fictional Norwegian family caught up in the events of World War II. Although the characters of the novel are fictional, the content is based on real events.
“None Shall Drow“ is a highly entertaining and well-written continuation of “The Cemetery of the Sea“, with the same gripping mix of family drama, spy thriller, and love story. It’s truly a work that has everything the genre has to offer, and one that continues to grow with each volume as the story unfolds more and more. And the working title of the third volume “A Wedding and a War” is even more intriguing!
The book “None Shall Drown” was published in Norway on 6 October. However, in the second edition, the author decided to change the title of the book to “Arctic Bride”.
Aslak Nore lives in Provence, France.
